Antonio Felix da Costa won round 14 of the Formula 3 Euro Series at Brands Hatch in England, leading the 55-lap race from start to finish.
Da Costa (Motopark) led home Carlos Munoz (Mucke) and Daniel Juncadella (Prema) who drove in grid order throughout the race. Their only excitement came at the end, when the chequered flag did not come out when it was supposed to.

Marco Wittmann, Alexander Sims and Jim Pla finished respectively 3rd, 5th and 13th of today’s 13th round of the Formula 3 Euro Series at Brands Hatch. Mortara rocketed off the line from third on the grid, and dived between polesitting team-mate Laurens Vanthoor and the third Signature car of Marco Wittman into Paddock. Vanthoor clung to the inside line, but was forced to lift-off to avoid a collision, which allowed Mortara to complete his move around the outside of him to lead.

It’s been a tough afternoon for the Gravity Academy today : while Marco clinched the second spot on the grid for tomorrow, Jim had a spectacular accident. In the end, Laurens Vanthoor took his first pole position in the Formula 3 Euro Series at Brands Hatch on Friday, leading a 1-2-3 for the Signature-Volkswagen team.
The Belgian snatched the top spot from his team-mate Marco Wittmann with three minutes remaining. Wittmann had held provisional pole since the middle of the session, and had just improved on his own time a few seconds before Vanthoor knocked him back.
