A low-key weekend in GP2

This weekend in Spain DAMS raced in the fourth round of the 2010 GP2 Series Championship. Unfortunately, the scenario was very similar to the one in Turkey a month ago. After a poor qualifying session the team was unable to fight among the front-runners in the two races on Saturday and Sunday.

Valencia, GP2 : Tough times

Gravity Academy drivers Jérôme d’Ambrosio, Ho-Pin Tung and Christian Vietoris has a difficult day in Valencia today. While both DAMS drivers were taken out of the race on lap 1, Christian was set for a points-finish when he’s been penalised for pitlane speeding.

Valencia, GP2 : qualifying results

Sergio Perez delighted his Addax team with a last minute pole position at their local track this afternoon in Valencia, claiming the top spot at the very last minute to break the hearts of Pastor Maldonado and Jules Bianchi.The Mexican followed up this morning’s stellar performance with a lap time of 1:45.337 as the chequered flag dropped to claim pole by just one tenth of a second from his Venezuelan rival,who had thought he’d done enough earlier to put himself at the front of tomorrow’s grid.
