Jerome to drive the Tesla

And another piece of good news! After receiving final confirmation of a Tesla roadster this Friday evening at the Citadel, the organisers of the Wallonian Rally are happy to announce that Jérôme d’Ambrosio will be the driver during the demonstration runs on the Namur Citadel Esplanade. Gravity has given the Belgian permission to carry out this test, and he will be able to give an expert’s opinion on how it feels to drive the quickest of the current crop of electric vehicles.

GP2 Series Pre-season testing came to an end today in Barcelona with rookies firmly proving their strengths and potential, Christian Vietoris leading the field in the morning session and setting the best laptime of the day. A total of six rookies finished in the Top 10. This afternoon although Davide Valsecchi was quickest on track, five newcomers climbed again in the Top 10 finishers.

History taught us the best window to set the fastest laptime at the Spaniard track is during the morning session. In the second day of the last pre-season tests, this theory was again verified with Jérôme d’Ambrosio (Gravity Academy) claiming the top spot ahead of newcomer Christian Vietoris (Gravity Academy) and Pastor Maldonado in the first half of the day.
