Pastor Maldonado was quickest for the second day of GP2 Series collective tests in le Castellet. On a 2A configuration track, the Venezuelan clocked in a best laptime of 1:09.769, one tenth quicker than Dani Clos who led the field most of the day.

The sixth season of the GP2 Series kicked off today at Paul Ricard with a three-day official test session on a 3D configuration track. This week, all twenty four cars will be using Bridgestone medium compounds for the first two days and will conclude their tests on soft tyres.
